Making a Candymaker's Dream Come True

Success Story Highlight!

Gabriela has been one of our greatest success stories over the years! Hear from her about how we helped her start and grow her business. This is a great video and interview from Wells Fargo Bank, one of our valuable and generous sponsors!

Gabriela Murguía had a passion for selling Mexican candies. When she discovered a Spanish-language business course offered through the nonprofit Mission Community Services Corporation, she knew she had to enroll. After just a few classes, Gabriela started her own company, MercaMex Distributor, Inc., and now owns three stores in the Bakersfield, California, area that sell imported Mexican candies and other items.
